Rick has worked as a staff Certified Public Health Inspector, Provincial Offences Officer and County Building Official for two rural Health Units in south central Ontario.

He has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Environmental Health from Ryerson University.

Rick has specialized training, certification and work experience in the following areas:

• water quality evaluations, water sampling, well inspections
• water treatment equipment solutions, consulting & approval
• provincially regulated water system inspections, trouble shooting and remediation of adverse water quality issues
• septic system installation inspections, investigation of malfunctioning systems, remediation for septic systems
• building permit & land severance approvals
• food safety training for volunteer groups & organizations
• food premise inspections, food handler training certification
• indoor air quality investigations & sampling
• mould inspections & sampling, result interpretation
• health hazard investigations
• provincial offences investigation, enforcement & prosecution for regulatory complaints & infractions

Rick brings a wealth of technical knowledge and experience in environmental health into his inspections, sampling, teaching and consulting work for his clients.

His focus is providing clear and honest communication of environmental health issues. This allows informed decisions to be made while ensuring health protection and peace of mind.
